Electrocoagulation (Electro meaning to apply an electrical charge to water and Coagulation meaning the process of changing the particle surface charge, allowing suspended matter to form an agglomeration) is an advanced and economical water treatment technology. It effectively removes suspended solids to sub-micron levels, breaks emulsions such as oil and grease or latex, and oxidizes and eradicates heavy metals from water without the use of messy filters or the addition of separation chemicals
ElectroPulse” is OilTrap Environmental’s system that employs electrocoagulation to treat a wide variety of contaminants in steps:
1) coagulation
2) oxidation, and
3) aeration.
The ElectroPulse system does not require the use of chemicals, nor does it inject any air or other gases. This new generation of waste water treatment can process up to 200 gallons per minute to a quality able to recycle or discharge to a sanitary sewer. Need a solution that is cost, time, AND space efficient? Average treatment cost with ElectroPulse technology is between $0.002 – $0.005 per gallon: on average, $2 per 1,000 gallons. There are no filters to clean or replace on our fully automated systems. Additionally, we understand floor space is valuable and pride ourselves in customization of the ElectroPulse systems in cargo containers to meet your space limitations.
